Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust (LTHT) are recruiting a Consultant in Occupational Medicine to join their Occupational Health team. The Trust has a strong commitment to the Health and Wellbeing of their employees and as a consultant in a supportive team, you will be at the centre of improving the lives of the staff.
The Occupational Health service has a new leadership team, who are dedicated to improving the service provided. The trust is committed to delivering the best service for LTHT staff and that means that there are exciting opportunities for consultants who want to deliver OH services in new and innovative ways.
LTHT are looking to recruit a full time Consultant with the potential to consider job share or part time, working to work alongside their existing two substantive Consultants. The post will be mainly based at St James Hospital when working on site, with options to work some sessions from home.
The Team supporting the Consultants includes nurses in bands 5 and 7, an Occupational Therapist, a sessional psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist. There is a robust health and wellbeing offer for staff including an EAP and physiotherapy service.
Excellent communication and team working skills and a strong commitment to teaching and service development are essential, as is a drive to deliver OH differently, the ability to challenge old ways of thinking and the ambition to continuously improve the service. This post will provide an opportunity to be involved in future training of specialist registrars in Occupational Medicine.
