Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to lead on the delivery of their in-house Occupational Health Service and to support the overall health & wellbeing of their Employees.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role and develop the in-house OH service, working alongside the HR Team and Senior Management Teams as well as with their supported maintained schools and academies in the borough to improve the health & wellbeing of employees. They recognise that their greatest asset as an organisation is their people and ensuring positive health & wellbeing for their employees is a key priority for them. Working with clinical supervision from an externally contracted Occupational Health Doctor and alongside a Part-Time Occupational Health Advisor and dedicated Administration Assistant, this role involves the full remit of Occupational Health. Duties will include, pre-employment medical assessments, medical referrals for fitness to work with guidance on adjustments as appropriate, and statutory Health Surveillance screening. You will also support the delivery of the Council’s health & wellbeing strategy through proactive health promotion activities and supporting the Council in maintaining the Council’s Better Health at Work Award Ambassador status.Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council are seeking a Registered Nurse, with experience of delivering Occupational Health Services, ideally with a specialist qualification in Occupational Health (Diploma / Degree or higher) or working towards.

- Hybrid working arrangements –working onsite at their main office in central Stockton or at their other Council buildings within the borough (2-3 days per week subject to business need), and the ability to work some of your time remotely from home.
