Secretariat for OSH Alliance (24-month FTC)
Part time, 4-6 days a month (includes in-person attendance at quarterly meetings)
Salary: £10,000 - £12,000 per annum (£200 a day plus expenses)
The OSH Alliance is made up of the UK’s most prominent Safety & Health organisations which offers a unified 360-degree perspective on critical Safety & Health issues. Collectively, the Alliance members’ competencies span the full spectrum of OSH considerations, from education and regulation to policy creation, professional standards and thought leadership. The Allliance provides a unified voice for the OSH industry, drawing on members’ collective expertise to inform and support OSH decision-making across government policymaker, corporate and professional levels.
What is the role?
Acting on behalf of the OSH Alliance, the employing organisation is NEBOSH, and the role will report to the Chief Quality Officer (CQO). The Secretariat will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain the official documents/records i.e. be the custodian of official copies of legal documents, minutes, etc (not specifically the meeting minutes, which is done by the Secretary).
- Administer any requests for membership; produce and maintain a member welcome pack.
- Record and monitor OSH Alliance themes of engagement and project manage themes in flight.
- Provide source advice on current emerging themes in the OSH space.
- Monitor the progress of OSH Alliance action items and track them to completion.
- Maintain confidentiality of the agreed themes and decisions made.
- Work with impartiality and with the greater good of all members of the OSH Alliance.
- Administer any complaints received.
The Secretariat will have project management skills and experience in health and safety management.
