Royal Air Force, Occupational Medicine Consultant
Expressions of interest are invited for a uniformed position within the Royal Air Force (RAF) Occupational medicine (OM) cadre. You will work as part of a team alongside the existing team of six consultants, three trainees and four occupational health nurses to deliver a full range of OM interventions for the 32,500 RAF service personnel. You will provide specialist medical advice to senior staff and to unit commanders. To deliver the required outputs, the OM cadre works closely with colleagues from across primary care, environmental health and public health specialties.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide expert advice on fitness for duty, workplace health hazards, and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement occupational health programmes tailored to the needs of RAF personnel.
- Provide case management and rehabilitation advice for injured or unwell personnel, ensuring safe return to duty.
- Engage in leadership roles, offering insights to improve occupational health policies and practices within the RAF.
