SOM events aim to ensure that staff, delegates, speakers, exhibitors, and guests attend in an environment free from unlawful intimidation, and harassment. We value the participation of each delegate to deliver an enjoyable experience. Delegates are reminded that they are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, courtesy and respect for others and maintain the highest level of professionalism. Disruptions that interfere with event experience for other delegates are not permitted. All attendees, speakers, organisers, volunteers, partners, exhibitors and staff are required to observe the following Code of Conduct:
· Comply with all applicable laws and all reasonable instructions given by venue staff or SOM staff including but not limited to any security arrangements.
· Be responsible for ensuring their own safety and security whilst attending events.
· SOM reserves the right to refuse access to or remove any participant from this event who, in the organisers’ reasonable opinion, demonstrates behaviour that has affected or is likely to affect the comfort or enjoyment of other participants.
· Harassment of attendees, speakers, organisers, volunteers, partners, exhibitors and/or SOM staff will not be tolerated. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, repeated disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants who do not behave in accordance with the Code of Conduct may be expelled without a refund at the discretion of the event organiser.
