Job Title: Consultant in Occupational Medicine

Salary: £96,963 - £128,841 (pro rata for less than full-time)

Location: Astley Ainslie Hospital, Edinburgh, EH9 2HL

NHS Lothian are seeking to appoint to a consultant post in occupational medicine. This is a full-time post (10PAs). Applications for less than full-time will be considered.

You will be employed by NHS Lothian and will work closely with the two existing consultants in Lothian, and multidisciplinary teams in the Board to deliver consistent clinical leadership and advice. You will be based in Edinburgh with a requirement to travel to all NHS Lothian sites and on occasion to client sites within southeast Scotland.

You will be responsible for the delivery of occupational medical advice to the Board and its staff. There may be opportunities for you to deliver services to the external clients of the Board across a range of industry sectors.

You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team within the department – OH nurses, OH physiotherapists, staff counsellors, manual handling training, and H &S professionals to promote service delivery in line with the Board and NHS Scotland strategy.

You will be offered opportunities to contribute to the teaching of medical undergraduates, to speciality and general practice trainees, and to those working in nursing and AHP disciplines.
