Bio:
Dr Shairana Naleem originally completed her medical training at UCL. She completed her first CCT in Acute & General Internal Medicine, achieving her Masters in Medical Education (UCL) & practising in front-line hospital medicine as a Consultant Physician & Higher Specialty Training Lead at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Denmark Hill for 5 years.
As a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London) she has provided advisory input into key national policies as a Simulation Expert for the JRCPTB & worked with the General Medical Council as Chief Invigilator for the UK national PLAB exams. She subsequently undertook further specialist training at St Thomas’ & has since dually accredited also as a Consultant in Occupational Health, with continued interests in research & education having previously secured strategic innovations grant funding for large scale award-winning collaborations.
She is currently leading a Delphi study for the national SOM Specialist Interest Group in Pensions & continues to develop new evidence-based pathways & provide Chief Medical Officer input on multiple high-profile contracts as a Medical Director with Health Partners Group. She enjoys tennis & travel & is married with three young children.
