Two exciting opportunities have arisen for a Consultant in Occupational Health and a Band 8a Senior Lead Nurse to join the OH and Wellbeing team at the thriving Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Occupational Health and Wellbeing is an established SEQOHS accredited Occupational Health service providing services to Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, University of Cambridge and other local organisations.
Senior Lead Nurse, Occupational Health and Wellbeing – Job Summary (see below for details on the Consultant vacancy)
- To provide an impartial, clinically safe, confidential and expert Occupational Health and Wellbeing service to the employees of Cambridge University Hospitals and external clients.
- To provide professional and clinical leadership ensuring a high quality, customer-focused, efficient and cost-effective service delivered to the highest professional standards.
- To be responsible for the assessment, planning, diagnosis, implementation and evaluation of care, as an autonomous practitioner with highly specialist skills.
- To undertake clinical activities according to service needs, and responsibility for the management of complex cases.
- As an integral member of OH senior leadership team, be involved in the strategic review of clinical services as appropriate.

Consultant in Occupational Health – Job Summary
- Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of Occupational Health provision in both services.
- To work within the Trust and occupational health services and NHS/employer-led performance framework and targets.
- Undertake teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and nursing staff.
- In partnership with the current consultant enhance the development and expansion of the external business and industry.
- To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning service quality, clinical governance and audit.
- To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
